But that's because I'm being hounded at work. I suppose I really should clear off my desk. c_c
GASP. No hat? Don't worry, it's in the pic, I just haven't drawn that far yet.
A preview of something I'm working on, while I wait for my ideas to come back to me for all the things I /need/ to draw.
I think I need a break and to draw variety in order to keep the quality from getting stagnant. ^^ So I put down the names of all the characters on paper, cut them out and folded them in half. Then I took a theme-list and numbered it, and wrote down all those numbers, and cut /them/ out. Folded them in half, drew a name and a number. Tada! Instant drawing challenge! I rather like what I drew.

I /really/ like what I came up with for this, so when it's done I may color it with colored pencils or sharpie, and enter it at an art show at a con. That just means waiting to color it /after/ Oni-con because I can't afford the markers. |

And to pass the time today, I tried to draw RP scenes, but that just didn't happen. I guess it's ok, because I was experimenting with my limited set of colored pencils. :0
I hate this scanner. This looks so much better in person. Pfft. I'll rescan it when I get home tonight. |

A young Gin! Drawn from memory, so um, not sure how accurate it is. ^^
I have discovered that if you draw characters on separate layered peices of paper, sort of like making physical photoshop layers, then it's easier to draw perspective. At least, that way I can keep from ruining the whole picture if I mess one person up. Then when it's done, I cut them out and tape them onto the page! This is a preview of something I'm working on.
You can probably tell it's Shinichi and Ran, but also Michiru from Bleach. Yeah, this is for GateMUSH, and since I needed background characters, I just started drawing random people. It's multitheme, so it works!
Damn I wish I wasn't at work right now. I have /so/ many ideas, and I don't have time to draw them all. |
